Bio

Village Mookkaiya, born in 1968, India, graduated from Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai in 1990. He has done many exhibitions throughout his career, particularly in Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, and New Delhi. His paintings also have drawn critical acclaims, as seen in his accolades. In 1992 and 2017, he received the State Award Tamil Nadu Oviya Nunkalai Kuzhu, Senior catagory. From 1995 to 1997, he was awarded the Junior Fellowship Ministry of HRD (Govt. of India, Delhi). His works are in collection of Regional Art Exhibition, Lalit Kala Academy (New Delhi), M.R.F. (Chennai), Mico Bosch Group (Chennai), Saha Gallery (Chennai), Genesis Art Gallery (Chennai), Vinyasa Art Gallery (Chennai) Values Art Gallery (Chennai) Lakshana Art Gallery (Chennai) and Many Private Collections in India & abroad.
